FAQs

Yes! I offer direct billing to almost all insurance companies, including Sunlife, Blue Cross, Canada Life, Green Shield, and many more.

Acupuncture needles are very thin, and most people feel little to no discomfort during treatment. For children and needle-sensitive patients, I offer vibrational acupuncture using tuning forks, which is completely painless.
-
Vibrational acupuncture combines traditional acupuncture techniques with sound healing. Instead of or in addition to needles, tuning forks are applied to acupuncture points to create vibrations that support relaxation, balance, and healing. It’s a gentle, non-invasive option perfect for needle-sensitive patients or children.
-
Absolutely! For pediatric patients, I use tuning forks instead of needles, which deliver a soothing vibrational experience. Acupuncture can support children with issues such as digestive discomfort, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and immune system challenges.

The number of sessions varies depending on the condition being treated. For acute issues, you may notice improvements within a few sessions. Chronic or long-standing conditions may require more treatments. In general, I recommend patients come in for 3 weekly treatments, and then we'll reassess.
-
During your first session, we’ll discuss your health concerns, lifestyle, and goals. I’ll perform a full assessment, and depending on your comfort level, we may use needles, tuning forks, or a combination of both. The session will be relaxing, and most patients leave feeling calm and refreshed. Most sessions last about an hour. The initial consultation takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Have something to eat 1-2 hours before getting acupuncture, but avoid heavy meals right before the session. Arrive ready to relax and let go of stress!
